Welcome!
To be sure, stepping foot for the first time in a new church can be intimidating.
A sea of strangers…unfamiliar surroundings…uncertain reception— it may all be a bit unnerving.
The following information should help ease those first-time jitters.

When do you meet?
On Sunday morning, Bible study classes meet for all ages at 9:30. The Morning Worship Service begins at 10:30.
We commemorate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of the month.
During Central Standard Time weeks (November–early March), we have lunch together after the morning service,
followed by a brief afternoon service at 1:00. During the mid-week, Men's and Ladies Meetings are held on alternating Wednesdays

What can I expect?
A typical service will last less than 90 minutes. We follow the “regulative principle” of worship,
meaning the elements of the service are those prescribed in the Bible:
Reading & Preaching of God’s Word…Prayer…Congregational Singing…The Lord’s Supper…Baptism
During the worship service, we sing a good mix of traditional and modern hymns in a conservative style.
Nursery services are available for children through age 3, and a Children’s Church meets for ages 4-8.
We have no formal dress code, and most people dress conservatively.

What is the Preaching like?
Our pastor preaches expository sermons, generally section by section through a book of the Bible.
He emphasizes the importance of understanding the meaning of the text, and from that applies the message to our lives.
It is this approach to preaching that we refer to FBC as a place “Where God’s Word Meets Life!”
