Does God Love Me?

God loves us more than we can comprehend.
God the Father “…so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”  (John 3:16). The Bible describes Jesus as “…Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.” (Revelation 1:5)
The great Creator took the punishment we deserved for our sin, suffering terrible torture and death on the cross to rescue sinful people.  Jesus loved us more than His own life!  On the cross, Jesus provided the only way for us to escape condemnation for our sins.
If we refuse God’s love—if we refuse God’s rescue, purchased at such great cost—then we remain lost forever.
God’s wrath will fall upon us with eternal death and suffering. BUT, if we turn from sin and trust solely in what Jesus did to provide our salvation, then we are made alive together with Jesus, “so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches
of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”  (Ephesians 2:7)
