As humans, we have a way of getting into desperate situations.

Job 5:7 says “…man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward.”  It often seems like everything is falling apart.  There are so many times in the Bible where the situation looked impossible, but God came to the rescue.

If we believe in God for our salvation, we can call on Him for help.  “As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God!”  (Psalm 40:17). Before trusting in Jesus, we are all trapped in sin and need help.  God sent Jesus to earth to help us and deliver us from sin.  Jesus gave His life on the cross, was buried, and rose again victorious over death and the grave.  He calls on us to let go of the sin we cling to and cling to Him instead.  Trust in Him today.
